2024 NISEKO Camping Guide

The diversity of NISEKO campsites here offers a wide range of choices, from natural and rustic public camping grounds to fully serviced managed campsites. You can choose according to your preferences and needs.


Of course, while enjoying nature, safety is paramount. Make sure you understand the relevant regulations regarding campfires and the specific requirements of each campsite. (2024) The Latest Introduction of NISEKO CAMPSITE


1.ASAHIGAOKA GENERAL PARK CAMPGROUND(旭ケ丘総合公園







This campsite is surrounded by natural forests and is next to Asahigaoka Park in Kutchan. It is possible to walk here from Kutchan train station. The campsite features a kitchen area with taps and a bbq area as well as toilets. Campfires are permitted only within a self-contained, raised fireplace. The nearest onsen is Kutchan Hotel Yotei Onsen which is a ten-minute walk. Car parking spaces are available.



*Note: According to official website updates, due to the removal construction of the ski jump at Asahi Hill Ski Resort, the camping site is temporarily closed for safety reasons. It will not be available during 2024. The construction is expected to continue until 2027, but the closure dates for the following years have not been determined yet. Further details will be announced once confirmed.

 

2.KAZE NO TANI CAMP SITE(風の谷キャンプ場)








Located between Annupuri and the city of Niseko, this campsite is surrounded by beautiful trees and flowing water. One side of the campsite offers spectacular views of Mt. Yotei, especially at sunrise. There are indoor cooking and eating facilities as well as a fishing pond. This campsite also has an incredible tree-house so campers can sleep amongst the treetops.



 

3.IWANAI RESORT CAMPGROUND











Take in the view of Iwanai Bay at your own luxury campsite or set out into the Hokkaido wilderness for some wild camping. There are regular campsites as well as powered campsites at Iwanai Marin View camp area. Iwanai Resort also offers Glamping options to make the experience extra special. There are many facilities and a great view of the ocean.


 

4.NISEKO CAMPSITE







This campsite is located at the base of Mt. Annupuri and Mt. Iwaonupuri and has stunning views of both mountains. The Mt. Annupuri hiking trail is right next to this campsite, and there are more hiking trails within walking distance. The famous Goshiki Onsen is a short two-minute walk, and there are many onsite facilities. Campfires are not permitted at this campsite.


 

5.NISEKO SAHINA CAMPGROUND - RANKOSHI(サヒナキャンプ場









The Niseko Sahina campsite is open all year round, features an indoor dining area as well as cabins which can be rented for an additional fee. This is one of the largest campsites in Rankoshi and is located quite close to the Annupuri Ski Area as well as many onsen.
